Managing billing and invoices
Update your card, download invoices, and cancel your subscription in the Stripe billing portal.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Transactional Email bills through Stripe, our payment processor. Your subscription, payment method, and invoices live in Stripe’s billing portal, which you open from Settings → Billing or App Home’s Billing section. Both show Billing managed by and the billing email — the address used at checkout.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- The Super Admin role in HubSpot. Only Super Admins see the Manage billing link.
- Access to the billing email’s inbox: Stripe emails a one-time code to it when you sign in.
- Open Settings → Billing. In HubSpot, go to Marketplace apps → Transactional Email and open Settings.
- Click Manage billing. Stripe’s billing portal opens in a new tab, with the billing email filled in.
- Enter the code Stripe emails to the billing address.
- Make your change:
- Update your payment method — the card used for your subscription, including any extra emails auto-buy added.
- View and download invoices — each monthly invoice shows your subscription and, as separate lines, any extra emails auto-buy added in the period before.
- Cancel your subscription — it stays active until the end of the current billing period.
Changes take effect in Stripe right away; Settings shows the updated status the next time you open it.
Common questions
Section titled “Common questions”How do I change the billing email? Ask a Super Admin to email support@cambiumapps.com with your HubSpot account ID and the new address — for example, when the person who subscribed leaves your company.
The portal opened the wrong account. If the same billing email pays for more than one HubSpot account, the portal opens the most recently created one with an active subscription. Email support@cambiumapps.com and we’ll help.
What happens when I cancel? Your subscription runs to the end of the
period you’ve paid for. After that, sending stops: sends fail with
account_disabled, and your alert recipients get a “Your Transactional Email
subscription has ended” email. Within 30 days you can start a new subscription from Settings →
Billing (Subscribe again). After 30 days the account closes, and 14 days
later your sending domain, sender profiles, and send history are deleted. See
Failed payments and disabled
accounts.
When am I billed for extra emails? On your next monthly invoice, when your subscription renews — nothing is charged when auto-buy adds them. If your subscription ends, any extra emails not yet billed go on a final invoice that’s charged right away. See How your email allowance works.
Do I need to cancel before uninstalling? No. When you uninstall the app, we cancel the subscription for you — 7 days after the uninstall, or 1 day before your next renewal, whichever comes first. See Uninstalling and reinstalling.
Where do I see how many emails I’ve used? In Settings → Billing (Emails used) and App Home’s Usage section. See How your email allowance works.
